If you forget, router’s administration panel can be opened by typing 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in browser address bar. IP address depends on what manufacturer made your router. These IP addresses are private internal addresses, so you can’t access to them from global network. Here will be configuration window with main settings of network, where you can change communication channel. By default, here will be set auto, but you can choose necessary channel, which is used less.

You can find free communication channel for wireless home router using command prompt. You just need to open cmd and enter here these commands:

  2. Wlan
  3. Show all

After last entered command, here will appear information about all connected and available at this moment wireless networks. In the bottom, you will see available wireless networks with information about them including communication channels. Check all of them and find out which of them is used less.
