TP-LINK TL-WR841NN Wireless N300 Home router review

TL-WR841N is a good example of best value for small money. It costs about $20 but with this low price, you get 300 megabits per second wi-fi and awesome transmission power. It bolsters IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11n, so even the most exceptional gadgets in your network will be working at high speed.

It is a good choice for a basic home or little business wireless network. Pay attention that it has only 4 Ethernet ports and it will not be suitable for a large amount of devices relying on wi-fi.

TL-WR841N might also be a reasonable Wi-Fi system extender in case you are going to connect to existing network.

Don`t forget to follow all the directions to set it up in extender mode.

2.4-2.4835GHz frequencies guarantee you great coverage and transmission power. It does not bolster 5GHz frequencies so if your 2.4GHz territory is swarmed you may need to consider options which bolster 5GHz. Due to two antennas on this router you will have incredible transmission power.

It might be a disadvantage that the router doesn`t support 3G or 4G/LTE. It limits this router to home and little business networks which depend on wired internet.

Setup:

Router setup was not a big deal. In our situation we simply needed to connect it to the PC with Ethernet cable to start the setup. Pay attention that you need a computer with network for this. Gadget with Wi-Fi just will not be enough.
For setup you can use router web interface or bolster utility on supplied asset CD disk. Client interface is quite simple and instinctive.
